Essie Neal, the Blues Lady
|
I met Essie a few years back at a Guitar Center
Blues Guitar contest. I thought she should
have won, as she is the real deal. She didn't
learn the blues, she was born and raised in the
blues all her life. But, GC was looking for the
next Eric or Stevie, and you know how that
goes. Essie is truly authentic all the way, no
buzz fuzz boxes, or Marshall amps just pure
heart and soul, the kind you are born with. You
can't learn this, as the core of your very being
must sing with blues. Essie is the real deal.
In Arkansas all blues roads lead back to
Babs. One of those labors of love,
behind the scenes folks that go unsung
in many cases, as she spends her life
promoting, endorsing and booking blues
artists for the Arkansas River Blues
Society and on the advisory committee
for Spa City Blues Society. Y'all stop by
and say hi to Babs, and find out more
about the deep roots of underground
Arkansas Blues.

Here are two great Indie Radio Stations that will play your CD. Hairy Larry,
at Delta Boogie is one of the oldest, longest running cyber space blues
stations in existance. Click his logo, and you'll see what we are all shouting
about. His main site is www.deltaboogie.com Brad Cole, has another Indie
radio broadcast that is growing at a rapid rate, and another great guy that will
play Indie Artists. Many talented folks have received great reviews, and
recognition from their exposure on Brad's TVR On Line Radio.
We would like to
thank Chittlin' Circuit
Magazine for their
exclusive review,
and recognition of
Mike Dollins, Blues
Guitar, in their
November Issue.
