Get a blues lesson.
Paul Bondarovski, of Midnight Special Blues, contacted me a few weeks back wanting
my blues CD.  I really hated sending CD's by post out of the USA, as the cost is really
expensive, you never hear anything back from the recipients and the ordeal usually
winds being a waste of time and money.  Like dropping your CD into a black hole.
Not so with Mr. Bondarovski, as he is one dedicated Blues DJ and promoter of Blues
worldwide.   He not only listed some of my songs, he featured the CD in his spotlight
artists.   That was a great surprise, as the old school banger here hasn't kept up with
the new younger Strat screamers, and I am usually shoved to the bottom of the pile.
How cool is this; Paul breathing life into an old long haul dude like me.   Thank you
sir, and your site speaks loud an clear, that you are true to the art form of blues, and
your recognition and awards shine like a new dime.
I grew up listening to
James Brown, and still own
two orginal copies of "Live
at the Apollo"  which is the
greatest live performance
ever, I mean EVER!
RIP You inspired us all.
I could write an hour, at least, on
Ken Schoppmeyer, and not cover
the whole story.   More than once he
pulled me out of the trash can, to get
me back on stage.  He is a blues
legend in San Diego, CA U.S.A., as
he is the E.F. Hutton, of blues.  When
he speaks, you need to shut up and
listen.  Starting out in the 60's when
most folks were playing top pop
songs, Ken could already make a
Marine Band cry like Little Walter. I
feel privileged to have been on the
same stage, but more than anything
the late night jam sessions in his living
room.  Gosh, I wish those times were
recorded. His new CD is destined to
top the Blues, Swing & R&B charts.
Contact him at his site, as this is
MUST HAVE CD. You'll thank me.
Chet Cannon's new CD is a lesson in
what a blues band should sound like.
Mr. Cannon is the hardest working
bluesman in Southern California.  I
can't believe how much he donates of
himself to promote others, encourage,
educate and notify all that will listen on
blues, and blues musicians.  Go on
over to his MySpace Music, and
introduce yourself, as he is a good
friend worth meeting.   - - - >
Mark Kremer, has one of the finest Jazz Guitar Sites, that I have
yet to see.  I like things simple, but in deep detail.  All the
difficult loading graphics, videos, lights, bells and whistle sites
drive me crazy.  I am looking for meat and potatoes, not cotton
candy.   This is the site for serious jazz guitar buffs.   Spend
some time here, and get a few lessons on the world's greatest of
all time jazz guitar players.   You will thank me later.
